Andrew Schmidt

Bio

"Coach Schmidt grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1997, his family moved to Buford, Georgia. He attended Buford High School and graduated in 2004. After high school, he attended the University of North Georgia. After attending the University of North Georgia, he started working for the Quik Trip corporation. He worked for Quik Trip until 2012. In 2012, Coach Schmidt had his first opportunity to work in coaching. He took a varsity football assistant position at Cambridge High School. At this time, Coach Schmidt enrolled at Georgia Gwinnett College to pursue a degree in Mathematics with a minor in Education. In 2013, Coach Schmidt accepted the varsity Offensive Line coaching position at Alpharetta High School. While at Alpharetta High School Coach Schmidt helped lead the team to the school's first playoff win in school history and 2 region championships. More importantly, Coach Schmidt meet his wife Caitlin who was the softball head coach at Alpharetta High School in 2015. They were married in December of 2016. In 2017, Coach Schmidt graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics with a Secondary Education minor. He received his certification from the state of Georgia and become a highly qualified math teacher. In 2017, he accepted a math teaching position and varsity Offensive Line coaching position at North Gwinnett High School. At North Gwinnet, Coach Schmidt taught algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, and autism spectrum disorder mathematical life skills. He was also part of the schools first ever high school football state championship in 2017. In 2022, Coach Schmidt became the co-Offensive Coordinator. In 2023, Coach Schmidt accepted the Offensive Coordinator position at Forsyth Central High School and taught resource geometry. In 2024, Coach Schmidt accepted a varsity Offensive Line coaching position at Parkview High School. Coach Schmidt also graduated with a Masters Degree in Secondary Math Education from American College of Education in 2024. Coach Schmidt has also coached baseball, track and field, wrestling, and women's soccer of the course of his career.

Coach Schmidt currently lives in Duluth, Georgia with his wife Caitlin and their two cats Gibson and Juedy. " "3 time Football State Champion in High School (2001,2002,2003)
